ZYGOMATIC & PTERYGOID GUIDED SURGERY

What will you learn?
Participants will learn the steps to be followed to duly plan and perform an EZgoma® case with zygomatic& Pterygoid implants and successfully treat patients suffering from the severely atrophic jaw.
It will be explained how to import DICOM files into the guided surgery software and match them with STL files from diagnostic wax ups.
During the Hands-On session, participants will work on a real case 3D model. Under the monitoring of tutors, they will perform the step-by-step drilling protocol until the implant insertion, with the support of the customized EZgoma® guides throughout the process.
The course will include a Live Surgery demonstrations.

- Traditional Guided Surgery Vs Zygomatic Guided Surgery
- Digital prosthetic planning:
DICOM – STL file matching for correct use of the guided surgery software - Use of the guided surgery software for an accurate zygomatic implant insertion
- Hands-On session performed by participants on 3D models with EZgoma® surgical guides
Speakers
Prof. Ziv Mazor
Prof. Ziv Mazor is one of Israel’s leading periodontists. He graduated from the periodontal department at the Hadassah School for Dental Medicine in Jerusalem, where he served as a clinical instructor and lecturer for undergraduate and postgraduate dental students. Since 1993, Prof. Mazor has been engaged in clinical research in the field of Bone Augmentation and Sinus Floor Elevation.
He is currently participating in the quest for improving and evaluating new grafting materials, using various growth factors as well as researching “osseodensification”- a paradigm shift in dental implantology. Prof. Mazor is a renowned author in dental implantology and is known worldwide for his innovative approaches to cutting-edge procedures and technologies. He is a world-known speaker and has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally. This year was his 25th consecutive year speaking at the AAP. Prof. Mazor is part of the continuing education faculty at New York University and an Associate Professor at Titu Maiorescu University in Bucharest, Romania. He conducts and moderates advanced international implantology courses and workshops. He is the past President of the Israeli Periodontal Society. Prof. Mazor maintains a private practice limited to periodontal and implant dentistry in Tel Aviv & Ra’anana, Israel.
Prof. Francesco Zingari
Graduation in dentistry and prosthetics at Università degli studi di Milano. Since 2005 freelancer of the maxillofacial unit at Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi in Milan. Adjunct professor of prosthetics on zygomatic implants at Università statale in Milan. Adjunct professor of implantology at Università degli studi di Parma. Speaker at the II degree post-graduation master in digital and guided surgery. Speaker at training courses in advanced implantology and anatomical dissection. An active member of the Digital Implant & Restorative Academy (Di&RA). Author of national and international publications.
Dr. Shlomi Lederman
Dr. Shlomi Lederman is a member of the Israeli Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Israel Dental Association.
He is a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery; an owner and professional director of the Dental Implant Medical Center.
He is a senior physician in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit at Bnei Zion Hospital (Rothschild) in Haifa, and has been involved in dental aesthetics and oral rehabilitation for over 20 years. Dr. Lederman graduated in dentistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1997, and has a master’s degree in health systems management. He completed his internship at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.
