  • Overview of intra and extra maxillary techniques
  • Case selection and presentations
  • Head and neck anatomy
  • Hands-On fresh frozen cadaver surgery zygoma, pterygoid and nasalis, and lateral nerve repositioning
  • Hands-On maxilla & mandibular model surgery
  • Anatomical CT-scans interpretation of cadaver specimens
  • Two participants per cadaver
  • Fitting of the immediate and final prosthesis

Dan Rosen
DDS

Dr. Dan Rosen is an international lecturer and educator on subjects related  to implant dentistry and prosthetic rehabilitation of implant-supported restorations.  

He is a graduate of medical school in Bologna, Italy and received Doctor of Dental Surgery from Tel Aviv University, Israel. He is a fellow and diplomate of  the International Congress of Oral lmplantology and member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. 

Dr. Rosen maintains a private practice in Los Angeles, California and mentors dentists in surgery and treatment related to implants. In addition to English, Dr. Rosen speaks Spanish, Italian, Hebrew and Farsi.   

Dennis Smiler
DDS

Dr. Dennis G. Smiler is a Fellow in the: International Congress of Oral Implantology, American Society of Osseointegration, and American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons; and is an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Smiler graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dentistry in 1964. He attended Boston University, Graduate School of Dentistry, earning a Masters of Science degree in 1968.
Following an oral surgery internship and residency at Roosevelt Hospital, New York, he returned to California in 1969, establishing his oral surgery practice.
Dr. Smiler has published numerous articles in dental professional literature and contributed to periodicals and text books. He lectures extensively and participates in symposiums both domestically and internationally at universities, academy meetings and implant conferences. He maintains a private practice in Encino, California.

Dr. Alexander Salvoni DDS, MSCD, PHD

Dr. Alexander Salvoni studied Dentistry at Methodist University of Sao Paulo and Oral Pathology at University of Sao Paulo. He is professor at Paulista Association of Dental Surgeons and is a specialist in implantology. Dr. Salvoni dedicates his career to teaching the new generation of Implantologists. He is an internationally recognized expert on the zygomatic technique having placed more than 1000 zygomatic implants. He is a coordinator of post-graduate education in Sao Paulo, Brazil and clinicians from all around the world come to his clinic to learn and practice this technique. Dr. Salvoni is a dedicated educator always searching for the best techniques to teach his students and to treat his patients.

DR. ALEXANDRE AALAM, DDS

Dr. Aalam graduated with a DDS degree from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, Nice (France). He, subsequently, specialized in Advanced Periodontics at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles (USA).

Dr. Aalam is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology. The French Society and the California Society of Periodontology awarded Dr. Aalam for his contribution to clinical research in the field of implant dentistry. Dr. Aalam is a Clinical Associate Professor at the USC School of Dentistry in the department of Advanced Periodontics. In 2012, Dr. Aalam was appointed as the USC dental school representative on the Board of Governor and in 2019 as a member of the Board of Counselor. He maintains a private practice in Los Angeles limited to Periodontics and Reconstructive Implant
Dentistry. Dr. Aalam lectures and publishes in the field of dental implant and site development procedures.

DR. MICHAEL KATZAP, DDS

Michael Katzap, DDS is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry. Graduating with Honors in Oral Surgery, Dr. Katzap completed a general practice residency at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn New York and the Brookdale Hospital Implantology Fellowship program under Dr. Norman A. Cranin. Dr. Katzap has lectured nationally and internationally on dental implant surgery and bone regeneration. Dr. Katzap is the former director of the Implantology fellowship at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn New York. Dr. Katzap is a fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentisry, Master of the Academy of General Dentistry, and Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology and the ICOI. Dr. Katzap is inprivate pratice in New York CIty.

Dr. Jack T Krauser

Jack T. Krauser, DMD, has been involved in implant surgical therapy since 1988. Not only was he the first practicing periodontist in Palm Beach County to be trained in osseointegration, the Swedish method that all modern case procedures are based upon, he also has significantly contributed to dental implant advances with his innovations in product design and treatment methodologies. For example, several of his designs are patented and utilized by major American and international implant companies. He has lectured on 6 continents. He has coauthored a definitive textbook on the subject, Dental Implants: The Art and Science, by Elsivier publishing. 

He has achieved the honor of Fellow in the Academy of Osseointegration. He is one of a very small group of clinicians who has been invited to share his thoughts and treatment outcomes with the Food and Drug Administration on the effectiveness of dental implant care administered to the public. There are 4 textbook chapters as well as more than 24 peer-reviewed journal articles on the subject matter.
As a leader of several global and national implant societies, he has enthusiastically encouraged his colleagues to join learn and share material for the overall growth of the field. Curiously, in this crowded field of talented local clinicians, the 2011 edition of his textbook’s cover depicts a clinical example of the now popular “All-on-Four” clinical procedure and concept. Several cases for truly indigent and needy patients have received pro bono work and care. Finally, he has been featured on the cover of Dentistry Today as one of the top dental educators since 2001.

DR. LARRY WOLFF, DDS

Lawrence A. Wolff, DDS received his doctor of dental surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia. After completing his program at the Richmond, Virginia VA Hospital, he returned to Los Angeles where he started his practice in the San Fernando Valley. Dr. Wolff taught at The University of Southern California (USC) for 10 years after starting his practice and then moved his attention to hospital dental surgery. 

He joined staff at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in 1996 and is the Founder and Director of the Osseointegrated Implant Program. Dr. Wolff is the current Chairman of the Dental/Oral Maxillo-facial Surgery Section in the department of Surgery at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. He is also a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Wolff trained in a multitude of state-of-the-art dental techniques, including implants, surgical pathology, hospital dentistry, trauma surgery, laser surgery, and prosthodontics. He is a member of several organizations including the American Dental Association, The Academy of Osseointegration and the Southern California Academy of Oral Pathology. He is a clinical instructor for the USC School of Dentistry. As a dental surgeon, Dr. Wolff is dedicated to providing the finest quality care for his patients in a warm, supportive and friendly environment. He takes the time to understand his patients’ needs and is always willing to discuss all aspects and options of treatment.
Dr. Wolff is a member of the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Staff providing care in osseointegrated implants, reconstructive and hospital dentistry. Dr. Wolff also offers much reduced fees for Medicare Patients that are treated in the hospital setting.

MR. RENZO CASELLINI

Renzo C. Casellini, a Master Dental Technologist, received his education in Switzerland, Where his family has been dynamically involved in the dental industry for four generations. For almost over 4 decades, he has been the owner of Swiss Quality Dental Ceramics & Dental Implant Studio. He services his accounts throughout the United States and internationally. His detailed articles on implants and esthetics have been featured in over 50 professional publications throughout the world. 

Mr. Casellini has specialized in porcelain restorations, full mouth reconstruction, attachment combination cases, Osseointegrated implants, and telescopic designs. He has served as an Instructor in Restorative Dentistry at Loma Linda University of California. Mr. Casellini is a member of several international associations and frequently lectures worldwide on esthetic implant restorations for the last 32 years.

Mr. Casellini has received a Mastership from the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics, the International College of Oral Implantologist, as well as the alliance of the American College of Prosthodontics. In 2007 He became an ICOI/IPS Certified Implant Prosthetist and a Member of the Board. In 2008 He became Board President of The Implant Prosthodontic Section of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is on the Editorial Review Board for the “Implant Dentistry Journal” and “Spectrum Dental Journal.” In 1999 he received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor Award and became an honorary member.
