Course Description
The course will provide a comprehensive overview on advanced full-arch rehabilitations using Noris Medical challenge implant solutions (zygomatic and pterygoid implants).
The appropriate knowledge of the topic-related anatomical, functional and aesthetic concepts will allow clinicians to successfully plan and perform such major surgeries.
Dr. Francesco Grecchi will teach the zygomatic portion, Dr. Fabrizio Grivetto will explain the pterygoid region and Dr. Emma Grecchi will expand on the prosthetic key concepts.
This course is a comprehensive, detailed, step-by-step lecture that will cover the Zygomatic and pterygoid Implants, surgical and pre-surgical planning, surgical procedures, and protocols including multiple techniques commonly used to place and restore these implants
Course Objectives
- Diagnostic notions for a correct treatment plan
- Key concepts of surgical anatomy
- Clinical indications and possible alternatives
- Extra maxillary surgical approach and immediate loading
- Complication prevention and handling
- Full-arch prosthetic aspects
- Drug protocols for the intraoperative and postoperative stages
- Hands-on sessions with free-hand technique on mannequins (day 1) and anatomical specimens (day 2) performed by participants backed by clinical tutors.

Graduation in Medicine and Surgery at Università degli Studi di Milano in 1981. Academic Specialisation in General Surgery and Maxillo-Facial Surgery at Università di Milano. Consultant of the Maxillo-Facial Surgery Unit at Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi in Milan. Founding Partner of the Italian Association of Studies for Osseointegration and Osteosynthesis(GISOS). Author and co-author of over 100 scientific publications. Lecturer at domestic and international courses and conferences.
Fabrizio Grivetto
DDS
Graduation in Medicine and Surgery at Università di Torino in 1995. Academic Specialisation in Maxillo-Facial Surgery at Università di Torino in 2000. First-level medical manager of the Maxillo-Facial Surgery Unit at Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Maggiore della Carità in Novara. Specialist in complex restorations using zygomatic and pterygoid implants. Lecturer at domestic and international courses and conferences.
Emma Maria Grecchi
DMD
Graduation in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics at Università degli Studi di Milano in 2012. Academic Specialisation in Oral Surgery at Università di Milano in 2017. Consultant of the Oral and Maxillo-Facial Unit at Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan since 2017. Teaching tutor of the graduating class in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics at Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan since 2017. Author and co-author of 20 scientific publications.
